Sending prospective Facetune users from an ad to our App Store page was proving to be a bottleneck. Additionally, research indicated that users were more likely to sign up if presented with a personal, interactive signup funnel and tailored subscription plans.

Solution

Bypass the App Store with an interactive landing page that uses a friendly, familiar tone of voice and provides a custom subscription plan.

How I helped

  • A/B tested a series of interactive questionnaires to better gauge tone of voice, content, and language.

  • Coordinated with web payment manager and product managers to clarify goals and messaging.

  • Created mockups with designers that satisfied both our objectives.

  • Wrote copy for testing and final versions of the pages.

Challenge

New users would often abandon their first project or lose momentum after completing an initial video. 

Solution

Develop design and copy for screens and emails that would personalize the experience, encourage new users to follow their first project to completion, and begin their second video. 

How I helped

  • Assessed results of user surveys to better understand their needs.

  • Presented copy variations to our focus group in order to sharpen messaging and language. 

  • Coordinated with designers to create final versions.

Challenge

Boosted app noticed an inordinate number of rejected payments. Users were contacted with an ineffective automated message. We thought that sending a more personalized message with a friendly tone of voice would yield better results.

Solution

Develop two emails, an initial and a follow up, using "payment rejected" best practices.

How I helped

  • Researched best copy practices of similar emails.

  • Developed copy that successfully helped more users complete the payment process.
